Illustrating the magic of perseverance
In Millicent Mugwort Tries Again, young readers follow Millicent, a determined witch-in-training, and her loyal cat, Nightshade, as they tackle the challenges of learning magic. Through their adventures, the story gently conveys an important lesson: that achieving something meaningful often takes persistence and a little help from our friends.
I illustrated every page for this project, bringing Millicent’s world and characters to life. I also experimented with new digital painting techniques, handled the book’s layout and cover design, and prepared the final files for print and digital formats.
